poem version:
both force and part of nature
aspiring love warrior
high priestess of crazy
inhabiting the vanishing point
becoming eternally
expanded version:
My name is Tasha Fierce.
I am:
- fortysomething
- Black, of mixed ancestry
- a queer non-binary femme (current pronouns are they/them/the divine feminine )
- a Black feminist
- fat
- disabled, which parses into me being:
- mentally ill and neurodivergent
- chronically ill and in chronic pain
- sometimes mobility-impaired
- a survivor of rape and complex trauma
- an anarchist (I believe the best we can hope for is decentralized, non-prescriptively hierarchical, and locally collectivist administration of natural and social resources)
- a tropical Aries sun, with a Taurus ascendant and moon in Leo; or a sidereal Pisces sun with a Leo ascendant and moon in Cancer
- a gifted only child in ongoing and collective recovery from perfectionism, workaholism, exceptionalism, and various forms of toxic independence
I have no kids and have no intentions of birthing my own. Instead of caring for children, I care for non-human animals and plants. The main human in my life is my nesting partner, Rob, the compost that feeds my psychic garden. We live, love, and dream together in the occupied Tongva/Kizh territory known as Los Angeles, California.
